Does anyone know who sells the metallic ballet slipper-type dance shoes in D/FW? Little Egypt?

Mon, October 19, 2009 - 8:49 AMDon't ask how a drummer knows this but look here:

I had to find men's flamenco shoes last spring. NOT an easy task. Try Sandy's first. :-) -

Mon, October 19, 2009 - 9:16 AMThanks for the links Todd. I was actually hoping though that someone might already know where these shoes can be found so that I don't have to call around to all these places. Lazy, I know! ;-) -

Re: Looking for dance shoes
Wed, October 28, 2009 - 9:21 PMI have two pair, which I got from Serena. She knows a dancer in Taos who has them. I got a pair of silver and a pair of gold for about $20 each.
I've worn them a LOT, and they protect my feet, BUT...
They are totally synthetic and don't breathe at all, which makes for funkalicious feet after you've sweated in them a few times, plus the bottom is slick slick slick, especially when you're in a restaurant with tile floors that are slightly greasy and dirty. I've slid around on the floor several times and have moved away from using these shoes for this reason.
For restaurant footwear, my favorite trick is to go to Ross and get inexpensive metallic high heeled sandals. I've been lucky there over the years and have found several pairs for around $13.
